Norris To Speak at Legislative Coffee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee
Senate Republican Leader Mark Norris
(R-Collierville) will be a special guest at this Friday's
Dyersburg/Dyer
County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coffee. The event will begin
at
8:00a.m. and is being held at the Lannom Center in Dyersburg.
Senator Norris will review significant events of the most recent
General
Assembly and discuss what lies ahead for Tennessee in the State
Legislature.
Of the event, Norris said, "I always enjoy reporting on our progress
at
the Chamber's Legislative Coffee. Dyer County and I have been strong
partners in economic development, education, and crime fighting for
six
years, and I look forward to continuing our efforts during the years
ahead. The best is yet to come."
Senator Norris represents the West TN Counties of Dyer, Lauderdale,
Tipton, and Shelby.
PolyOne Plans To Close
Plants
ACCORDING TO THE STATE
GAZETTE, POLYONE ANNOUNCED MONDAY IT WILL CLOSE SEVEN NORTH AMERICAN
PLANTS, AFFECTING 240 JOBS. THE PLANT IN DYERSBURG EMPLOYS 157.
A SPOKESMAN FOR THE COMPANY SAYS ABOUT 90 EMPLOYEES WILL BE OFFERED
JOBS ELSEWHERE IN THE COMPANY, REDUCING THE NUMBER OF PERSONNEL LET GO
TO 150.
CableOne Outages
CABLEONE APOLOGIZES TO THE SUBSCRIBERS THAT ARE BEING AFFECTED BY
