Who's Going To Lead The Country?
The Volunteer State is still
deciding, who'll they favor for the
nation's highest office...With the high price of gas and tough
economic times facing all Tennesseans, many are wondering who to vote
for as our next Commander in Chief. While the election is still months
away in the Volunteer State, some are wondering if minds are already
made up.
I-40 Cleared
The Tennessee Highway Patrol
has re-opened all lanes of Interstate 40 as crews finished clearing a
tanker crash that closed the highway in both directions for a large
portion of the weekend.
Area Aviator Commended
A Fort Campbell aviator has
been given the Army's second highest award. Chief Warrant Officer 5
David Cooper was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for drawing
fire away from ground troops during an attack in Iraq in 2006.
Blood Supply Critical Around
The Region
The American Red Cross
encourages everyone to donate blood as blood inventory has reached
critically low levels. The blood supply in central Tennessee and
southwest Kentucky has dropped to less than a 24-hour supply. The Red
Cross says those levels are even lower in blood types O-positive,
O-negative, A-negative and B-negative. The Red Cross is extending its
hours this week.
Titans Sell Out Regular Season
Games
An attractive home schedule has helped the Tennessee Titans extends
their sellout streak to 103 games this season. A team official says
the eight regular season games sold out in just 32 minutes after they
went on sale Saturday morning.
It's Almost Back To
School Time in Dyer County...
