A MAN WANTED FOR THE ATTEMPTED SECOND DEGREE MURDER OF A DYERSBURG POLICE OFFICER HAS SURRENDERED.  DEANGELO LIGGONS TURNED HIMSELF IN TO THE DYERSBURG PD YESTERDAY EVENING AROUND 6:30.  HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE DYER COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT COMPLEX WHERE HE IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND, PENDING AN APPEARANCE IN DYERSBURG CITY COURT MONDAY AT 4PM.  LIGGONS WAS THE PERSON WHO STRUCK AND DRAGGED DYERSBURG OFFICER ERIC LARSON WITH HIS TRUCK AS THE OFFICER WAS QUESTIONING HIM ABOUT STOLEN BEER.  LIGGONS THEN FLED THE SCENE.

[RAPIST ESCAPES]
The search continues for an alleged rapist on the run from a Missouri jail. WPSD-TV reports Dewey Hopper escaped from the Dunklin County Jail on Saturday. Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder said Hopper escaped by crawling under a chain link fence at the justice center. He was being held on charges of forcible rape and tampering with judicial proceedings. Anyone with information regarding Hopper should contact the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department.

[MURDER SUSPECT]
INVESTIGATORS ARE LOOKING FOR 17 YEAR OLD KEASTON DANTERRIAN TIPTON, ALSO KNOWN AS "BOSS MAN." TIPTON IS SUSPECT IN THE MAY 4TH MURDER OF KARL FRANKLIN AT THE SUNRISE INN MOTEL. TWO OTHER MEN HAVE ALREADY BEEN ARRESTED, THOSE MEN REMAIN IN CUSTODY. CALL CRIME STOPPERS OR THE DYERSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT TIPTON.

[RESCUE SQUAD]
A petition is circulating in Fulton County Kentucky to get the rescue squad there back into service. It was just last month that the Fulton County Rescue Squad suspended their services because the lack of room on their current truck could not provide the proper service. The Rescue Squad asked the county for 80 thousand dollars for a new truck. The county responded by saying it would cover some of the cost, but could not completely pay the whole price. Police and other officials are currently answering the calls until something can be done otherwise.
