FROM TRN... A former volleyball coach contends in a lawsuit that the University of Tennessee-Martin treated her unfairly because of her gender...The U.S. District Court suit was filed in Jackson by former coach Amy Draper, who argues she was wrongly dismissed in January and replaced by a less experienced male coach. In the gender discrimination suit, Draper also argues that UT-Martin administrators slight women's sports in violation of federal law. The suit asked for unspecified monetary damages.

SOME CARROLL COUNTY RESIDENTS HAVE GONE DAYS
NOW WITHOUT WATER, THAT ACCORDING TO WBBJ TV DOT COM. NEARLY 75 CUSTOMERS OF THE
CEDAR GROVE UTILITY DISTRICT HAVE BEEN WITHOUT RUNNING WATER FOR MORE THAN 48
HOURS. ADDITIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE EXPERIENCING LOW WATER PRESSURE. THE PROBLEM IS
A WATER LINE LEAK THAT UTILITY WORKERS CANNOT LOCATE. THEY SAY THEY HAVE BEEN
WORKING AROUND THE CLOCK TO FIND THE LEAK, BUT THEY CANNOT BE SURE WHEN THE
PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED AND THEY'RE URGING CEDAR GROVE CUSTOMERS WITH WATER TO
MONITOR HOW MUCH THEY'RE USING.

A CITY PARK IN GIBSON COUNTY THAT WAS HIT HARD BY A DEADLY 2006 TORNADO IS FINALLY ON ITS WAY TO BEING COMPLETELY REBUILT. THE BRADFORD COMMUNITY PARK IS EXPECTED TO FULLY REOPEN IN ABOUT A MONTH. THE ALMOST 200 THOUSAND DOLLAR REBUILDING PROCESS HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH VOLUNTEERS' WORK, A STATE GRANT, AND DONATIONS. STILL ON THE LIST TO GET DONE IS SOME FIELD LIGHTING, PRESS BOXES, AND DUGOUTS.

Tennessee Valley Authority lakes are higher than they were last spring, but nearly all of its large tributary reservoirs are below targeted summer levels. The federal utility says drought conditions still exist, particularly in the eastern half of the Tennessee Valley.
