[SUNRISE SHOOTING]

DYERSBURG AUTHORITIES ARREST TWO SUSPECTS IN CONNECTION WITH A MAY 4TH SHOOTING AT THE SUNRISE INN MOTEL. WBBJ REPORTS 33-YEAR-OLD WILMON SONNY MOSES IS CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE MURDER FOR THE SHOOTING DEATH OF 42 YEAR OLD KARL FRANKLIN OF ALABAMA. HE'S BEING HELD IN THE DYER COUNTY JAIL WITHOUT BOND. A 16 YEAR OLD IS ALSO FACING A FIRST DEGREE MURDER CHARGE IN THE CASE. HE'S BEING HELD AT THE MCDOWELL CENTER UNTIL HIS DETENTION HEARING.

[ILLEGAL JACK]

From TRN... Prosecutors and defense attorneys are negotiating to settle the case of a Nashville-area man indicted on charges of illegally possessing up to 1 million dollars worth of Jack Daniel's whiskey. Randy Piper of Goodlettsville is free on 25-thousand dollars bond and is due in court in Lynchburg August 12 to have a trial date set. However, District Attorney General Charles Crawford and Piper's attorney both say they are optimistic the case can be resolved.
