THE SEARCH ENDS FOR A MAN MISSING IN CARROLL
COUNTY OVER THE WEEKEND. THE BODY OF MICKEY CARPENTER WAS FOUND SATURDAY AROUND
BUSH LAKE, THAT'S NEAR THE LEACH COMMUNITY. IT'S BELIEVED CARPENTER'S BOAT
CAPSIZED IN THE LAKE, AND NO FOUL PLAY IS BELIEVED TO HAVE TAKEN PLACE.
Tennessee judicial selection changes could happen soon... from the TRN today,
Govenor Bredesen is seeking changes in the Tennessee judicial selection process
by threatening veto proposals, if lawmakers don't find a way to resurrect his
proposal requiring the panel to hold all their deliberations in public. The
govenor says the panel choosing some of the most powerful and least accountable
pieces of state government needs to be public.
Across The Delta...
The body of John Owens from Caruthersville was recently found. KFVS-12 dot com
reports his body was swept away as he was traveling to help a friend in the
March flood. A college fund has been set up for his children at the first bank
and trust company in Caruthersville if you have donations.

The Cardinals host a three-game series with Cincinnati starting tonight.
